Qualities We Love in Each Other

At a Basketball Game

We have been married for 14 years and truly make a great team in life. Coming from humble beginnings, everything we have accomplished is the result of hard work and dedication, as our families had limited resources and we were both first-generation college graduates. We have each earned our master’s degrees and built successful careers. We have also invested in multiple rental properties, which will continue to provide for us now and into retirement. Guided by strong values and bhigh morals, we have always made sound decisions for our lives.

Jacob worked 15 years as a firefighter before returning to school to become a Physician Assistant. He is passionate about his work and provides high-quality care for every patient. He has been recognized as one of the best providers in the hospital system where he works for his dedication and excellent patient care.

Lupe served in the Air Force for four years and now works as a School Certifying Official at a University of California campus, helping military-affiliated students receive their VA education benefits.

We are both ambitious, motivated, and committed to supporting each other as a team. We will bring the same dedication to raising a child, creating a loving and stable environment where they can grow, thrive, and succeed as an adult.

Our Hopes for an Open Adoption

We believe that open adoption is a beautiful way to help a child develop a strong sense of identity, connection, and security. Adoption is a lifelong journey, and we understand that a child’s story includes both the families who raise them and the birth family who brought them into the world. Maintaining a relationship with the birth family can give a child a deeper understanding of their roots, culture, and personal story, which we believe is invaluable in helping them feel whole and loved. Open adoption is important to us because we want the child to know they are cherished and supported by all the families who have shaped their life. We are committed to fostering a respectful, positive relationship with the birth family and will be as open as the biological mother and father feel comfortable. We hope they will have ongoing contact, whether through visits, calls, or updates, so they can see that their child is happy, healthy, and thriving. Our priority is always the child’s well-being. We want to provide a home full of love, laughter, guidance, and stability. Adoption is one of life’s greatest gifts, and we understand how important the birth parents’ involvement can be if they choose to have a connection. We are committed to honoring that relationship and creating a nurturing environment where the child feels secure, valued, and proud of their unique story.

Our Pets

Traveling Angel and Soul

We have two dogs who are truly an important part of our family and fill our home with joy, comfort, and companionship. Soul is our 8-year-old bull terrier and the biggest cuddler you will ever meet. He is affectionate, gentle, and happiest when snuggled up close. He is Lupe’s buddy and follows her everywhere around the house.

Angel is our 5-year-old, 120-pound Anatolian Shepherd whom we rescued from Turkey when he was a stray puppy. He is our gentle giant, sweet, calm, and incredibly loving. He is the easiest, most carefree dog and is content simply being around the family. Our dogs are an important part of our family, and we look forward to raising a child alongside them. They will have the opportunity to grow up learning to love, care for, and respect animals, developing empathy and responsibility as they form bonds with our furry family members.

Together, our home is full of warmth, laughter, and love, and we know the dogs will be gentle and joyful companions for a child.

Our Extended Families

Our Family

Family is an important part of our lives. Our siblings with their spouses and children live about an hour away, and we often get together to barbecue, cheer on the Golden State Warriors, San Francisco 49ers, or Giants, and celebrate the holidays. We always find activities that we can all enjoy. When we gather, we play music, sing, and dance to all kinds of songs as everyone including kids and adults take turns choosing the playlist. The adults in our family are truly kids at heart and love including the children in every activity. Our gatherings are full of laughter, good food, and shared memories as we cook together, relax, and enjoy each other’s company. We have created an environment where everyone feels safe to be themselves and we can share our true thoughts and feelings about life. We cheer each other on as we accomplish new professional or education goals and share ideas. It is truly a blessing to have a close bond with family. Our family is overjoyed that we’ve chosen adoption to grow our family. They have always believed we would make wonderful parents and have supported us every step of the way. We can’t wait to welcome a child into these traditions and bring them to family events, holidays, and trips where they will always be surrounded by love, joy, and a deep sense of belonging.

San Diego with Family

Our House and Neighborhood

Our Living Room

We live in a beautiful beach community in California, peaceful and away from the big city, yet close to everything we need. Our community attracts families from around the world who come to enjoy the stunning beaches and relaxed coastal atmosphere. With so many children in our neighborhood, it’s truly a wonderful place to raise a family.

Our Home

We often imagine taking our child to the beach, riding bicycles along the shore as many families do, and stopping by the wharf for delicious food while enjoying the ocean breeze. We feel truly blessed to live just four minutes from the beach. During the holidays, the streets glow with festive lights, and the laughter of families fills the air as they enjoy ice cream and meals at the local restaurants along the wharf.

We live in a cozy three-bedroom, one-bathroom home with our two friendly dogs Angel, Soul. They love neighborhood walks and beach outings and can’t wait to share the joy with a little one someday.

From Us to You

Thank you for taking this step in thinking about your child and wanting to provide the best possible life for them. In our eyes, it is one of the most selfless, loving, and courageous acts a person can make. We know that this decision may come with many emotions and moments of uncertainty, and we want to express our deepest appreciation for your strength, compassion, and the love you have already shown by getting this far in your decision-making process. The consideration you are giving to your child’s future speaks volumes about your heart.

We have been married for 14 years, and throughout our marriage we have built a strong foundation rooted in faith, loyalty, and unconditional support for each other. At this stage in our lives, we are more ready than ever to provide a child with a nurturing, joyful, and stable future. We are a couple guided by strong morals and a shared commitment to always do what is best for the child. Their well-being will be our priority every single day.

We will provide a home filled with love, safety, comfort, opportunity, and financial stability. Our dream is to raise a child who grows up with more resources and possibilities than we had in our humble beginnings. We want them to explore their interests, discover their strengths, and feel supported in every dream they pursue. Whether it is private tutoring, attending one of the top schools in our area, participating in sports, joining music or art programs, or exploring any extracurricular activities that spark their curiosity, we will do everything we can to help them reach their full potential.

Lupe has always dreamed of being a mother. It has been the deepest desire of her heart for as long as she can remember. The opportunity to stay home with the child full time will truly be a dream come true for her. She wants to be fully present to experience every milestone, every first word, every smile, and every moment of growth. This will be a precious season in our lives, and we will embrace motherhood and fatherhood with gratitude and devotion. We have worked hard to build the life we now have, and nothing would bring us greater joy than to share it with a child.

Education is very important to us, not only academically but in teaching values, life skills, compassion, and resilience. We hope to instill a strong foundation that will prepare the child for adulthood and help them build a meaningful and fulfilling life. We will guide them gently, celebrate their achievements, support them through challenges, and encourage them to become confident, kind, and grounded individuals. No matter what path they choose, they will always know they have unwavering support at home.

We also understand the importance of a child knowing where they come from and who their birth mother is. We are open to a relationship at whatever level of openness you feel most comfortable with. Whether that includes sharing pictures, letters, phone calls, videos, updates, or visits, we are more than willing to maintain a connection that brings you peace and honors your role in the child’s life. You deserve the reassurance that your child is safe, loved, happy, and thriving. We want you to feel confident in your decision, knowing that your child will be cared for and deeply cherished every single day.

If you choose us, please know that your child will be embraced with love, respect, and devotion. They will grow up in a home where they are treasured, supported, and reminded of the incredible strength and love that brought them into our lives.

May God bless you as you navigate this deeply personal and heartfelt decision. We are praying for your comfort, clarity, and peace wherever this journey leads you.
